It's only been a couple of weeks, but there has been good progress on our bedroom/cabin. You can now see how the bed will fit in in the stern of the boat, and some new rockwool insulation has been installed and the interior walls are taking shape.

On Tuesday 14th, I visited Moondance on my last full day in the Netherlands. Had further meetings with the refit team, including getting the final list of what is to be done for the electrics.
I took this video of the back area of the boat. Not much there. But you can see the new holes for the reinstated portholes and the cables for the hydraulic steering. Today Michelle and I visited Moondance in Kampen. They have now put in some of the floor so it was better to see how it will all look. I guess from now we will start to see things progress.
Great to catch up with Mandy Erik and Henk and finalise many of the design features/issues. Today I visited Moondance in Kampen. She is rafted up to another vessel and is opposite the local Hells Angels - so should be safe we are told. The inside is now empty and we had a good discussion about floor and ceiling heights. This means a change in orientation for the bed and a few other changes. We will need a step in the bedroom as well as a small step at the entrance to the bathroom about 20cms wide. We are hoping that it will all line up and look OK and allow us to have more headspace in most of the back area. Also - we will be able to reinstate the portholes in the stern behind our bed which will be nice.
Here are few photos. I am currently travelling on the Sjouwer at 190m X 11.5m barge - this includes a 135m ship pushing a barge.. I am hoping to learn a bit about how they manage their ship.
