25-30 July We left Leiden on Wednesday intending to find a mooring somewhere amongst the Kaagerplassen, the lakes just north of Leiden. Our plan was to spend a night there before heading to Haarlem.

19/24 Leiden Our next stop was Leiden. This is delightful city with many canals. In fact more canals than any other city in the Netherlands other than Amsterdam.
13-18 July We left left Rotterdam for a fairly easy cruise to Den Haag. Lot's of bridges but many we didn't have to request to be opened as we were lower than the closed bridge height. Around Delft we had to get the bridges opened and ended up in a convoy of about 5 boats.
10-12 July Firstly, the bow thruster is fixed. It was a simple problem, a shearing pin had sheared. Our mechanic said there should be two and we only had one. The other one may have worked it's way out, leaving too much pressure on the remaining pin. A simple fix - and now we know to replace them every 3 years.
10 July I woke up at about 4am on Tuesday morning thinking about how we would get out of the harbour in the morning. The previous night the habour was completely full, and I could hear the wind picking up. We had someone moored alongside us; the 17m boat behind us had 2 boats moored alongside it, then around the corner were 3 sailing yachts moored alongside, and then another large cruiser with a small cruiser moored alongside it just before the bridge on the port side. On the starboard side of the bridge it was 3 deep as well.
30 June - 9 July We arrived in Dordrecht on Thursday 29 June and had a couple of days to look around with Eliza before we headed off on our side trips.
1-8 July I spent a week in the Perigord region of France with good friends from Business School. It was lovely to catch up with them all and spend time in this fabulous region.
