5 May We got a lot done this week in some areas. Our tests on the engine were unable to find anything else wrong, so Henk (the steel guy) gave her a tentative bill of health, and we were able to leave Elburg on Friday. We will watch her closely though. We also got a new controller for the bow thruster to we replace the old one in the wheelhouse as it was only working one way. However it didn't work so we reinstalled the old one, which miraculously worked. So that was good. The generator is still not working and we have had to order new fuel pumps which should arrive on Wednesday. The previous ones were rusty because of the water in the fuel lines. The painters didn't arrive until almost 2pm on Thursday so they still haven't finished. They said they would come on Monday to Kampen to finish the job On Wednesday we went to the Post NL to pick up the Party Table. The packaging was quite battered but we took it anyway - hopeful that it had been well packed inside. Howard wheeled it home on the bike (we did learn something from my trip to Vietnam). Unfortunately it was damaged when we opened it up - not much packing at all. We have asked for a replacement which they say will be delivered to us in Kampen on Monday or Tuesday. We will see. But the table itself is a good size for our back deck and folds up for easily packing away. Below are some photos of Elburg. It is a lovely town. The people were friendly and helpful to us. But we are now heading to Kampen for the next stage of the trip. Elburg Church City Walls - lovely walkways and moat on the outside, and houses nestled into the wall on the inside. Vischpoort - Old gate between the town and the harbour. Great view from atop the gate. More photos of the town and harbour Birds I have enjoyed the birdlife here. I hope to get a good photo of a heron in flight. I'll keep trying.

Very quiet in Elburg - early in the season obviously. It was flat out both times we were there. Still that allows for some lovely photos. Good luck on the travels!
