It is nice to be back on the boat and we are really enjoying the new new refitted rooms. We have been very busy and have taken full advantage of having a car for a few days. Purchases included a washing machine, TV and lots of household good from Ikea. The existing freezer and new washing machine fit perfectly in their spot in the bathroom, although the hoses for the washing machine didn't match so Howard had to use his ingenuity to get them to fit. Last night we tried out the oven, which we'd been told had never been used. About half way through cooking our meal all the AC power on the boat failed. And since most of the DC wasn't working anyway we had almost no power - just water pumps and one light. Since the masserator wasn't working we had to go to the toilet on shore. Luckily it gets dark late and we had a couple of battery powered lights. Today we were able to get instructions from our electrician and got our power back on at about 2pm. We spent time this morning sorting and moving all the painters stuff, and putting our kitchen back together. It feels much more like home now. We are also pleased with our new instrument panel, even though the black water tank gauge doesn't work. It is a great improvement. We are in Rotterdam tonight, Wednesday, returning the car we borrowed, and will return to Harderwijk in the morning to meet the electrician, who will hopefully complete the electrical installation.
We have decided, with our Project Manager, to move Moondance to Elburg, where there is a painter and mechanic available to finish the painting and hopefully fix the engine. No more EUR 1000 bonds. (Yes EUR 1000 - I mis-typed last time).

I bet you are looking forward to cruising her again - deliciously new, but with a hint of experience. Wonderful feeling!
