26-27 Aug We finally got our toilet fixed yesterday - it was operating fine, except that we had to turn on the water to full up the tank and then turn it off again when it was full. But all fixed now. Big news for us. In the afternoon we visited the Cathedral, which had impressive stained glass windows from many different eras. Then we went up to the Citadelle. To avoid the climb we took the local bus to the Citadelle Hospital nearby and then had a walk around - nice views from the top. We then walked down Montagne de Bueren, 374 steps. Back at the boat we had a new neighbour. Not sure how she would go in one of the big locks around here. We decided to stay Sunday so that we could go to the Sunday morning market here which is supposed to be the biggest market in Europe. The usual range of stalls, apart from live poultry. We enjoyed our visit, including waffles for breakfast, and made a few purchases including bread, pears, capsicums, lettuce, a pot of basil plants, pyjamas, an iPhone case, and a present for our granddaughter. We are now having a lazy afternoon before setting off again tomorrow. We have enjoyed the warm weather this week, and have our party tent up again.
