10 May People kept recommending that we visit Oostende Voor Ankor (Oostend at Anchor), so we took the train there on Thursday. There were about 130 historic ships moored there. After a few days of warm sunny weather it was a bit cooler only 14 degrees, but it was still a great days for looking at the ships. There were ships of many different ages, including ships that had participated in the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940, and D-Day in 1944. There was even a replica galleon or pirate ship. We were also able to catch up with Nils and Torild whom we met in Veurne. We had a pleasant catch-up on their ship Lasse Pagom. It is the one with the Norwegian flag in the photo. They were rafted up with 2 boats inside and 3 outside. Some interesting rudder decorations.

Ha, I see a barge we are very familiar with - 't Majeur - tucked in behind Liquenda. Be sure to say hello to Rebecca and Michel when you are at the Rally.
