30 September Saturday was an amazing day for us. We got up at 6am to watch the Australian Football League (AFL) Grand Final. My team, Richmond won. 37 years since their last premiership. Very exciting. And they beat the top team by a good margin so it wasn't even nail biting at the end. When the game finished Howard and Mark picked up our rental car and we drove to Amsterdam. Then Howard and I headed out to see some Septuagenarians in concert. Who would think you would pay so much and travel so far to see a bunch of blokes 70 and over play music. But it was the Rolling Stones! It was at the Amsterdam Arena so we figured 40-50 thousand people were there. The atmosphere was great and the technology was amazing with 4 huge screens ensuring that everyone had a great view. Of course the station was packed on the way back to our hotel, but it didn't take as long as you might have expected and we got back to the hotel soon after midnight. We decided that that day would henceforth be known as Super Saturday.
On the Sunday we gave Hazel and Mark a lift to Schipol (Amsterdam) Airport, before driving back to Bruges in Belgium.
